A Public Hearings will be held before the regular Meeting of the Avon Planning Commission on Wednesday, March 16, 2005 beginning at 7:00 P.M. in Avon City Hall Council Chambers, 36080 Chester Road, Avon Ohio on the following:

Mark Yager, representing Dr. Tom Kelly and Mike Petrillo, is requesting approval of the site and architectural plans for the proposed office building and addition to the Williams House located at 37800 Detroit Road.

Avon Library events:

The Library Book Sale will be held Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The library is located at 37485 Harvest Drive. The sale is sponsored by The Friends of the Avon Library as a library fund-raiser.

Join the Afternoon Book Discussion Group March 22 at 2:30 p.m. The group will discuss ''The Secret Life Of Bees.'' Copies of the book are available at the library. New members are welcome. For more information, call the library at 934-4743.

Women's club meeting: The Avon Women's Club will meet March 14 at 7 p.m. at the Avon Community Center, 2155 Eaton Drive. The program, ''Southern Living'' will be presented by Melissa Pelfrey. The club is open to any Avon resident interested in joining a community service and social group. Guests are always welcome. For more information, call Marge at 937-6616 or Lin at 937-4365. The club also has available a limited number of specially designed Avon Heritage Coverlets which feature many well-known historical Avon buildings and scenes. The coverlets sell for $50 each. Rummage sale: The Ladies Guild of Holy Trinity will be holding a rummage sale today from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and tomorrow from 9 a.m. to noon at White Hall, 2630 Nagel Road. Fill a bag for $2.50 tomorrow.

March Magic: Tickets are on sale for the Avon Junior Women's Club Fund-raiser March Magic. The event will be held March 19 at Red Tail Golf Club. For more information, including ticket prices and event times, contact Kelly Lie at 937-9318.

French Creek Reservation fun:

Join the Kiddie Craft Club, for preschoolers and parents, on Wednesday at the French Creek Nature Center. Children will make cat masks from 10 to 11 a.m.

Melanie Dougall's ''Stamping, Scrapbooking, and Cardmaking'' class will be held March 19. Scrapbooking takes place from 1 to 2 p.m. and greeting card creations from 2 to 3 p.m. Cost is $5 per session at the door.
